Established in 1994
Africa Scrap Recyclers, situated in Zandontein, Pretoria West, is a scrapyard of approximately 5000m2. At this scrapyard, we purchase, sell and recycle scrap 6 days a week. We receive our scrap from the public, scrap dealers, auctions and mines.
Africa Scrap Recyclers sprouted from humble beginnings 27 years ago when it was trading as National Wool Trading. Mr. Jan Booysen, the founder and owner rebranded the company in 2008 as Africa Scrap Recyclers focusing the business on scrap metal recycling. Mr. Booysen's son in-law Mr. Christo Claassens then joined the business as a shareholder. Today Africa Recycling is a well-rooted and sustainable company. We are in good standing with the receiver of revenue and our bankers, duly registered with the Compensation Commissioner and an active member of the Metal Recycling Association. Africa Scrap Recyclers holds a valid import and export license and trades ethically.
At Africa Scrap Recyclers we have a youthful team of motivated employees who are passionate about efficient and effective customer service. We are invested in growing the next generation of scrap recyclers and take pride in educating and up-skilling the youth we employ. Mr J. Booysen, Mr. C. Claassens, Mr. P. Seremula, Mr. T. Chauke, Mrs D Booysens. Mr. S v.d. Sandt currently manage the Africa Scrap Recyclers team. This team is a collective of highly experienced managers who display in-depth knowledge of the industry and are committed to running a healthy, sustainable and profitable business.
